Southwest Baptist University Athletics

Sterlen Paul is entering is first season 2022-2023 as the assistant coach for track and cross country after serving the past two seasons as a graduate assistant. Paul will work primarily with the athletes competing in sprints/hurdles/jumps.

Prior to SBU, Paul spent 3 years serving as an assistant coach for track and field/cross country at Tusculum University. During his career at Tusculum Paul has coached one All-American, 10 All-Region athletes and 32 All-Conference athletes. With Paul’s help the Tusculum University women’s track and field team placed 3rd at the SAC Indoor Conference Championships during the 2019-2020 season. Paul has had 1 athlete receive CoSIDA Academic All-American and several athletes received Academic All-Conference.

Paul graduated from Abilene Christian University (TX) in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports and Recreation Management. In 2018, Paul completed a Master of Arts in Teaching from Tusculum University and has recently graduated from Southwest Baptist University (2022) with a master’s in athletic Activity and Administration. Paul competed in Track and Field at ACU and Wiley College where he garnered All-Conference and Academic all-conference honors in the men’s 800m run.

Paul is native of Trinidad and Tobago and currently resides in Bolivar, Missouri with his wife Kimone.
