Southwest Baptist University Athletics

Mora comes to Southwest Baptist after serving as the quarterbacks coach at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT for the last four seasons.

While at Rocky, Coach Mora was a part of the program turnaround from 4-7 to 7-3 Frontier Conference Champions. He was the position coach for Nate Dick, who was Honorable Mention All-American (2021) and Dawson Schick, who was All-Frontier Conference (2021 Spring.)

Coach Mora began his coaching career in 2010 at Alameda High School in California where he coached the quarterbacks and was the offensive coordinator. After leaving Alameda, Mora spent three years at Whitfield Athletix in San Diego, CA to help prepare draft prospects for the NFL draft including number the one overall pick in 2015. Coach Mora has been a coordinator on four conference championship teams at the high school and collegiate level (Alameda High School, Malvern Prep, St. Mary's Ryken, Rocky Mountain College) and players trained and coached include: Jameis Winston, Johnny Manziel, Bryce Petty, Mike Evans, Logan Thomas, and Keelan Doss.

Mora is a graduate of Rocky Mountain College where he majored in Communication Studies and minored in Literary Studies. Mora was also a two-time Frontier Academic All Conference Team member. 

Sam Mora is from Oakland, California, and is the son of Samuel Mora Sr. and Amy Mora.
