Junior linebacker Coleton Smith was the nations leading tackler with 162 tackles, 30 more tackles than any other player. Coleton went on to receive 1st Team All-Region recognition and 2nd Team All-American honors. D2football.com named Coleton to their elite 100 team, highlighting the top 100 players in Division II football.  Coach Noel also coached All-GLVC junior linebacker Aaron Harris. Aaron finished the season top five in tackles in the GLVC.

Rodman is from the Boston, MA area where he then moved on to play at North Carolina State University (2011-14). Played as a True Freshman at Safety and Special Teams then moved to Linebacker entering his sophomore season. Led the team in tackles as a Senior Captain. Contributed to winning 2 out of 3 career bowl games. After a stint with the Cleveland Browns, he stepped away from football for a few years before returning as a coach in 2020. Prior to arriving at Southwest Baptist, Rodman coached a year at Alonzo & Tracey Mourning High School in Miami, FL, coaching the Linebackers and coordinating Special Teams.
