Clint Jack joins the Bearcat Baseball coaching staff for his first year in 2018-19. Jack has attended Southwest Baptist as a student since 2017, and will graduate this May with a degree in Sports Management. 

Prior to joining the coaching staff, Jack played for the Bearcats in 2017 and 2018. During those two years, Jack started in every game, 51 in 2017 and 50 in 2018 for 101 total. He hit .329 over those two seasons, going 125-380 with 16 doubles, 6 triples, 3 homeruns, and 64 RBIs. 

Jack sits in the top five in two categories of SBU's single season records. In 2018 he hit 6 triples, good for the #5 spot. In 2017, he successfully laid down 9 sacrifice bunts, which is fourth on the list. He also has two single game records. On 4/6/18 he hit 2 triples against Lindenwood, and on 2/10/17 he crossed the plate 5 times against Southern Nazarene. Jack also made the All-MIAA teams in both 2017 and 2018. Both years he was selected to the Honorable Mention team, while also being named to the Gold Glove team in 2018. In that season he had a .984 fielding percentage with 121 putouts and 2 outfield assists. 

Prior to his time at SBU, Jack played two years at Irvine Valley College in Irvine, California. In 2016, he played in 34 of their 36 games, hitting .345 with 51 hits in 148 at bats, 6 doubles, and 12 RBIs. In 2015, he played in 40 of their 41 games, hitting .270 with 38 hits in 141 at bats, 8 doubles, 1 triple, and 12 RBIs. Jack played his high school ball at Huntington Beach.
