Bolivar, Mo. – This week's Grand Missouri Bank Athlete of the Week belongs to SBU punter Joey Chiavetta. This award was earned by Joey after breaking a conference record and having the longest punt in the Nation this past weekend.
 
In a game against South Dakota Mines, Chiavetta punted four times for a total of 208 yards for an average of 52 yards. The biggest one of those was an 81-yard punt from inside SBU's own 20 to inside the opposing teams' 10-yard line. This punt not only broke a 16-year GLVC record but was also the longest punt by any Division in College Football this past weekend.
 
Through just two games this season, he is averaging a remarkable 51.3 yards per punt, currently well on pace to set a new SBU single season record. You can watch him and the rest of Bearcat football this Saturday as they host Roosevelt University at 1:00 p.m. at Plaster Stadium.
