Bolivar, Mo. – This weeks' Grand Missouri Bank Athlete of the Week belongs to freshman swimmer, Davide Lacriola. He had an incredible meet at the Sam Freas Invite that helped lead the Bearcats to a 3^rd place finish, not far behind two top-25 National programs.
 
Lacriola competed in four total events on Saturday at the Invite taking 1^st place in three of those. He started out the day helping lead the team to a top finish in the 200-yard medley relay. Later he dropped .24 seconds in the 100-yard breaststroke for another first-place finish. Lacriola completed a sweep in the breaststroke with his third 1^st place finish of the day in the 200-yard breaststroke.  
 
In just the first competition of his collegiate career, he has already begun creating waves in the SBU program with these incredible finishes. Davide Lacriola and the rest of the team will compete again this Friday at the Truman State.
