Bolivar, Mo. – SBU Athletics recorded its highest finish in the GLVC Commissioner's Cup standings since joining the conference in 2019, marking another milestone in the continued growth of the Bearcat athletic department.

The Bearcats saw success across multiple programs throughout the 2025-26 academic year, earning postseason appearances, All-Conference honors, and national qualifiers. The strong performances throughout the year helped SBU secure its best placement in the Commissioner's Cup standings during its time as a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Since transitioning to the GLVC, SBU Athletics has continued to elevate its presence across the conference. Numerous programs have reached new heights competitively including men's soccer and women's track and field best finish.

With momentum continuing to build across the department, excitement is already growing for the 2026-27 academic year. Returning student-athletes, emerging talent, and continued success across multiple programs have positioned the Bearcats for another strong year of competition as SBU looks to continue its rise within the GLVC.
