Bolivar, Mo. — Southwest Baptist closed out its 2026 season with a 10-3 loss to Drury in GLVC play. The Bearcats split the four game series against the Panthers moving to 20-27 overall and a 12-19 mark in GLVC play.
The Bearcats struck early in the first inning as
Conner Titus drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home
Collin McLemore, tying the game at 1-1. Drury answered in the third and broke the game open in the fifth and sixth innings with timely hitting and sacrifice flies to take control. SBU added two more runs off the bat of
Lane Snow, who delivered a pair of sacrifice flies, both scoring
Ryan Ray.
Before the game, the Bearcats were able to honor and recognize their 12 seniors. These seniors included
Conner Titus, Ray Legito,
Jared Pugrad,
Roberto Garcia,
Nash Crosby,
Cannon Frazier,
Lane Snow,
Conner Hammonds,
Jake Fuller,
Jack Harris, Koen Van T'Klooster, and
Caden Norman.
Despite ending short of the GLVC tournament, the Bearcats reached 20 wins for the first time since 2017. The team also achieved 12 conference wins, the most since their first season in the GLVC, showing improvement and continued progress within the program.
