Louisville, Ky. – Sophomore Keeley Elsea adds another award to her spectacular season earning the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) 2^nd-team All-Region award. This award comes on the heels of earning a 2^nd-team All-GLVC award.
 
Elsea had one of the best seasons by any SBU softball player in the program's history. The first sign of this record-breaking season came in March where she broke the SBU single season walk record. After the season was over, she nearly doubled the previous walk record setting the new number at 47 and tied the career walk record at 72.
 
As the season went on, it was evident this would not be the only Bearcat record she would break in just her sophomore season. Elsea would go on to break the batting average (.486), Hits (71), Slugging percentage (.774), On base percentage (.607), and total bases (113). Not only did she break SBU records, but she put her name in the GLVC record book currently ranked 2^nd in on base percentage and 3^rd in walks in GLVC history.
 
Her conference only numbers were just as impressive as her overall stats. Elsea led the GLVC only play in batting average (.521), on base percentage (.653), and walks (29).
