Springfield, Mo. — SBU men's track and field team competed at Missouri State University on Saturday, April 17 for the Mo State Invitational. The Bearcats dominated over athletes from Missouri State and Evangel University, securing numerous first place finishes along with two school records and five National marks
 
The highlight of the day was senior Tyler Hart who had a tremendous day breaking two school records and achieving two National marks. His school records came in the hammer throw (53.77m) and shot put (16.68m), where he took first place in both events. Hart was able to notch National marks in both shot put and discus (50.93m).
 
Another National mark of the day came from the men's 4x400-meter relay consisting of Jordan Noel, Cade Nold, James Hunter, and Marcus Jones. In this meet, they ran a time of 3:13.37 taking first place and a National mark, though it did not eclipse their time last week of 3:12.45. Two other National marks came from Angel Dickerson and Andrew Jacobs who both hit provisional marks in the long jump. Dickerson took first place in the event with a mark of 7.41, not better than a prior mark he hit earlier in the season. Andrew Jacobs hit his first National mark of his career with a 7.36m jump, good enough for second place. 
 
Junior Angel Dickerson earned a first place finish in three events: the 4x100 meter relay, the 100 meter dash, and the long jump. Dickerson ran second in the 4x100 meter relay with the group earning a 41.19 second finish. Following the relay, he put forward a 10.44 second performance in the 100 meter dash. 
 
Freshman Marcus Jones joined Dickerson with three first place finishes as he competed in the 4x100 meter relay, 200 meter dash, and 4x400 meter relay. After anchoring the 4x100 meter relay, Jones finished his 200 meter dash in 21.18 seconds. His day ended much as it began, anchoring the 4x400 meter relay that finished first with a time of 3:13.37.
