Bolivar, Mo. — In a fitting Senior Day performance, Southwest Baptist University's men's and women's tennis teams dominated their home court, each posting a 7-0 sweep over William Jewell University.
Before the matches began, SBU recognized seniors
Alex Crawford,
Alejandro Beneyto Sanchez, and
Ally Bowser for their hard work and dedication to the teams.
That excitement carried over into the match as both teams had a dominant performance. The women had one of the most dominant performances in program history sweeping their way through every single point. This started with the doubles point as the pairs of
Maria Clara Zotti/

Olivia McGruder each won 6-0. Then nearly all of the singles matches won each of their points 6-0, 6-0 as
Sammi Liu dropped the only set at the #1 spot 6-0, 6-1. This extends their winning streak to three and a 3-0 GLVC record.
On the other side of the complex, the men pulled off nearly the same dominant performance blanking the cardinals. This started with a quick 3-0 at the doubles as
Oliver Kocanovic/
Alexandru Marinescu won 6-4 at the #1 spot.
Juani Morresi/
Alejandro Beneyto Sanchez won 6-2 at the two spot and
Federico Riolo/
Romain Ramuz blanked their opponents 6-0 at the #3 spot. All six singles won their point in two sets with seniors
