Bolivar, Mo. – SBU men's volleyball continued GLVC play Friday evening against the Missouri S&T Miners. The Bearcats continued to battle against their conference opponents but fell 0-3 moving to 8-8 on the season.
 
Southwest Baptist held a lead in all three sets earning the first point in set one, then taking the first two points in sets two and three. Despite staying close with their opponents all the way through, the team fell in all 19-25, 21-25, & 16-25.
 
Freshman Lucas Phelan added to his stellar first season with a team high 15 kills in the match. Those 15 kills put him at 184 on the season, a team high. Donal Sengele notched his four double digit kill game of the year with 10 in this game as he reached exactly 100 kills on the season. Evan Strahlendorf added along six and Jeremiah Crecilius had three with his .750 hitting percentage. Keahi Kaneakua had another strong game as the Bearcat setter with 33 assists, averaging 11 assists per set.
 
The Bearcats will play Missouri S&T one more time on Saturday in Bolivar. This game will take place at 2 p.m. in the Meyer Center.
