Two Bearcats earned their way to the top of the podium in a solo event for the first time in their career. It started with junior

th of a second faster. Later in the day senior
Emily Young took to the track, completing an incredible comeback in the final lap of the 800-meter dash. Trailing behind four headed into the final lap, she weaved her way to the outside and sprinted her way to the lead holding for a 1
st place finish.
The first podium finish of the day came from freshman
Madison Davis with a 3
rd place finish in the 60m-hurdles. She entered the day with the 4
th best time but was able to move up a spot with a time of 8.91 seconds. Her much more experienced teammate in graduate
Lily Simmons returned to the GLVC Championships after missing a season collecting a 3
rd place result in the high jump.
All-American duo of
Stephanique Dean and
Laura Dixon teamed up at the 200-meter dash claiming two of the top three spots. Dean took the 2
nd place spot with a time of 24.61 while Dixon claimed 3
rd place, running 24.78 seconds. In the final event of the day, Dixon joined Davis,
Brianna Lord, and
Sierra Wallace in the 4x400-meter relay. This group got off to a strong start in the second heat of the day and held the lead until the Lincoln Blue Tigers relay narrowly edged out them out by less than a second. The Bearcats still took 2
nd place in the meet with a time of 3:52.58 seconds, good enough for top-10 in SBU history.

th.
