Bolivar, Mo. — After some tough losses on the road by two possessions or less
, Southwest Baptist University's Women's Basketball is looking to bounce back this weekend at the Meyer Wellness Center. The Bearcats will be facing two conference opponents; the Truman State Bulldogs on Thursday at 5:30 p.m., and the William Jewell Cardinals Saturday at 1:00 p.m..
Thursday marks the 33rd matchup between the Bearcats and Bulldogs, with SBU holding an eight to six record over Truman at home. The Women's Basketball team will look to split the series with Truman State after a road loss to them earlier in December. This Thursday is also breast cancer awareness night, so make sure to wear pink when you come to support the Bearcats.
A couple days later, the Bearcats will battle the Cardinals on alumni day. SBU is 11-3 against William Jewell, holding a four game win streak including a close win at Jewell this season. The Bearcats have a chance to walk away from this week with some big wins making a big impact in their conference standing position.
