Kansas City, MO - The Southwest Baptist University men's volleyball team traveled up to Kansas City this afternoon to face Avila in a multiday double header. The 7-1 Bearcats swept Avila for the second time this season and look to go in tomorrow, Saturday February 28th and replicate the same results.
The team was led by two standout players through this match. Freshman
Darrell Kosechequetah recorded season highs in every statistical category with nine kills and a .389 hitting percentage. He tied freshman
Donel Sengele for nine kills in the match. Both freshmen not only tallied an assist for the offensive side, but had a defensive masterclass, combining for a total nine digs and three blocks. The team had seven separate 4+ point runs throughout the match to close the day with a dominant victory for their third straight sweep.
