Bearcats Control the Paint in Loss to Panthers

Springfield, MO - The Southwest Baptist University men's basketball team traveled to Springfield, Missouri to take on rival Drury University in a rematch. SBU fell short 56-80, moving their record to 12-13 overall and 6-11 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Knowing that this game would be a dogfight, both SBU and Drury came out strong, with there being 5 lead changes within the first four and a half minutes. However, SBU was not able to hold onto the lead despite out rebounding Drury.

The Bearcats won the paint, scoring 67.9% of their points there. Junior Zac Reedus led SBU with 21 points and nine rebounds, for a near double-double. Freshman Leo Gayman also nearly had a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds

The Bearcats will be competing in their final road match of the season, traveling to Rolla looking to defeat Missouri S&T Saturday, February 21st at 3pm.
