Bolivar, Mo. — Claiming two straight wins at home, Southwest Baptist University's women's basketball team will hit the road this week for their next two games.
This past Thursday, the Bearcats went up against the Rockhurst University Hawks. Although the Hawks put up a fight, the Bearcats fought back harder and claimed the victory with a final score of 84-73 for their second straight win.
This week, the Bearcats compete against their rival, the Drury University Panthers, for the second time this season. In December, the Panthers gained the victory over the Bearcats by a narrow one-point victory. With Drury winning nearly every home game this season, the Bearcats will face a tough battle. This game takes place Thursday, February 19th at 5:30 p.m.
Later this week, the Bearcats go up against the Missouri S&T Miners for the first time this season. The Miners hold a 4-5 record at home and a 9-13 record overall giving the Bearcats a chance for a road victory .SBU will travel to Rolla Missouri on Saturday, February 21 at 1 p.m. to face the Miners.
