Bolivar, Mo. — Following losses to the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) and Lewis University on their home court last Thursday and Saturday, Southwest Baptist University's women's basketball team hits the road this week, aiming to secure a victory. 
 
Amid last week's tough battles, the Bearcats displayed personal victories. Junior Kamiyah Hurd ended Thursday's game with a double-double, and SBU outperformed UIndy and rivaled Lewis University in rebounds during their games.
 
This week, the Bearcats will travel to Fayette, Iowa to go up against Upper Iowa University Peacocks on Thursday, January 29 at 5:30 p.m. In the last three matchups against Upper Iowa, the Bearcats haven't been able to beat the Peacocks, but this year they are looking to turn the tables and take home the win.
 
Later this week, the Bearcats will face the Quincy University Hawks. The game will take place in Quincy, Ill. on Saturday, January 31 at 1:00 p.m. Quincy has won most of their games in the past few weeks, standing at 6-4 for GLVC play. With Quincy going 4-4 on their home games this season.
