Bolivar, Mo. - Following two tough road games against McKendree University and University of Illinois Springfield last week, Southwest Baptist University's women's basketball team looks to bounce back as they return to their home court for two more GLVC bouts.
The team is diverse in scoring with eight players averaging over five points per game with five shooting 40% from the field. SBU's inside pressure continues to be a strenght for the team as they are second in the GLVC in blocks per game at 4.1 and 35th in the Nation. This has helpd them hold their opponents to 39% from the floor.
This week, SBU's women's basketball team returns thom to their home court to host two games, the first against Unviersity of Indianapolis on Thursday, January 22nd at 5:30 p.m. In their last three trips to Bolivar, the Bearcats have defeated the Greyhounds in two of those games.Â
Their second game of the week will come on Saturday, January 24th against Lewis University at 1:00 p.m. Lewis is riding an eight game win streak into this road trip as they battle Rockhurst University on Thursday. They are currently 6-2 in the GLVC and a perfect 3-0 on the road, looking to give the Bearcats a tough battle.Â
