Bolivar, Mo. — Southwest Baptist University's Men's Basketball is returning to their homecourt at the Meyer Wellness Center this week to battle two out of state opponents. The team battled two top-4 GLVC opponents on the road this past week, unable to pick up a big win against these teams. Now they look to protect their home court on Thursday (7:30 p.m) and Saturday (3:00 p.m.)
This game marks the beginning of the last 11 games of the regular season for the Men's Basketball program. Currently sitting 11th in conference standings, and with the rest of the season being conference play, every game matters with a three-game record difference between 11th and 4th in the conference.
Four Bearcats are extremely efficient from the floor shooting better than 47% and each averaging over 11 points per game. Sophomore
Brandon Moore is shooting 54.9% from the field and averaging 11.6 PPG. Junior
Zac Reedus still leads the team in scoring with 16.2 PPG pulling down 5.1 boards per game.
The first matchup of the week is against the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds who last battled a year ago, January 25th 2025, with the Greyhounds walking away with the win. Though SBU currently holds a three-game losing streak, all three previous games have been away at UIndy. Not only was the last win against Indianapolis a home game, but within the current season our Bearcats are six and one at home.
One Saturday the team will take on Lewis in the Meyer Wellness Center at 3:00pm. These two teams have split the previous six matchups at an even three a piece. Though the Bearcats hold an upper hand of 2-1 record against the Fleyers in Bolivar. To stay up to date with basketball stats and all other news, visit
