Columbia, Mo. - The SBU men's track and field team battled for the first time in 2026 at the ShowMe Showdown Friday afternoon.
The day was highlighted early on as
Ellis Joslin vaulted his way to victory in the Pole vault with a height of 4.60-meters. That mark is just shy of his best mark of 4.62-meters that he achieved at last year's rust buster. One runner that did achieve a personal record was
Cade Nold in the 800-meter run. His time of 1:54.62 was good enough for 3rd place in the meet and moved him to 7th all-time in SBU history.
Angel Dickerson continued his strong start to his Bearcat career with a 2nd place finish in the 60-meter dash. The Brothers of Gavin and
Landon Duchscherer finished back-to-back in the 3,000-meter in 5th and 6th place respectively.
The team will return to action next Friday, January 23rd, at the Rumble in the Jungle D2 Invitational which will take place at Pitt St.
