Bolivar, Mo. – The Southwest Baptist University Men's Cross-Country Team hit the ground running on their season as they finished in 4
th place in the annual Bearcat Invite held at the Bolivar Golf Course. The team one-upped their 5
th place finish from a year prior.
Leading the way for the Bearcats was senior
Gavin Duchscherer in 21
st place with a time of 20:26.13. Senior
Luke Urban finished only 0.04 seconds after
Duchsherer, taking 22
nd place in the race. The third runner to cross the finish line in purple was sophomore
Landon Duchsherer, placing 25
th with a time of 20:28.94. SBU's scoring five was rounded out with junior
Nolan Hansen in 36
th place and junior
Nathan Keck in 47
th place.
SBU men's cross-country team will continue their season on Saturday, September 13
th in Springfield, Missouri at the Springfield Cross Meet hosted by Drury with the race beginning 9am.
