Kenosha, WI. - The SBU women's cross-country team took to the course Saturday, September 27th, ready to compete at the Lucian Rosa Invitational. The Bearcats took fifteenth place at the meet, securing an overall score of 388.
Leading the Bearcats throughout the race was
Gracie Troester, a freshman from Replublic, MO. Troester finished twenty-fourth out of 207, with an impressive time of 22:06. Trailing quickly behind Troester was sophomore
Natalie Gerdes, ending with a final time of 22:21 and placing thirty-fifth overall. Both runners exhibited remarkable speed and perseverance against the tough competition.
The Bearcat's team ran consistently, working hard to keep their average mileage under seven minutes. Junior
Lily Hunsucker competed with an average time of 6:12, while sophomore
Kadence Wallace closely followed with an average of 6:28. Overall, the team displayed great effort and continuous determination throughout the race, working hard and running fast.
After this race, the Bearcat's women's cross-country team is headed to St. Joseph MO., where they will be competing against Missouri Western on Saturday, October 4th.
