9/27/2025 10:19:00 PM

Kenosha, Wis. — With an early morning rise in Wisconsin this morning, the SBU men's cross-country team came to the Lucian Rosa Invitational ready to compete. With 10 Bearcats competing in the Championship 8k, the men's team placed 20th in the invitational. Each runner clocked in with under a 6:20 average mile time.

Landon Duchscherer, a sophomore from Morrisville, Mo., placed 100th out of 220 runners in the 8k and first out of the Bearcats. He ran a hard and fast 5:21 average mile, with an end pace of 26:36.4.

Although Duchscherer's speed stood out in this race, so many other individuals put forth great races. Gavin Duchscherer, Landon's older brother, finished just seconds behind him, giving Gavin an end time of 26:44.6 with an average mile pace of 5:23.

With so many more Bearcats ready to win, the cross-country team heads back to Bolivar for rest and recovery before continuing to work, train and push themselves.

With the Bearcats eager to earn personal and team victories, men's cross country next competes at Missouri Western on October 4th.
