Bolivar, Mo. – After two successful road trips, Bearcat football is excited to return in front of the roaring home crowd at Plaster Stadium. The first home game of the year had the stands packed, with the expectation being the same for this Saturday's game against Missouri S&T at 6:00pm.

"After two road victories, I am very excited to get back home in front of our crowd." Head Coach Paul Hansen said, "Our kids have been working really hard and will be ready to play a very good Missouri S&T. I'm excited to see a huge crowd for Bolivar night"

This past weekend, the Bearcats opened GLVC play against the William Jewell Cardinals. SBU football did not disappoint the large crowd of Bearcat fans who made the trip with a 29-19 victory. With wild trick plays, deep passes down the field, big time sacks, and incredible 4^th down stops, Bearcat football made for a thrilling game.

Southwest Baptist enter this game with a 2-1 record and achieving back-to-back road wins for the first time since 2016. On the other side of the field will be the Miners of Missouri S&T, who come in with a 2-2 record and two straight losses. Offensively, the Bearcats have the second best in the conference averaging 402.3 yards per game and 33.3 points per game. Whereas S&T is scoring 27.0 PPG off 364.8 YPG.

Breaking this game down to history, there has always been a sense of rivalry between these two programs. SBU holds the all-time record with 18 wins to the Miners 13, despite the last two games going to the Miners. With momentum in the Bearcats favor, it is likely to be a grind it out football game with it coming down to the final play.
