Bolivar, Mo- After a long weekend of hosting and competing the Lady Bearcats are halting to a quick rest. As they fuel their bodies and get caught up on sleep and school the girls are almost ready to get back on the road again for the Harding invite in Searcy, Arkansas. 
 
After last week's drive Gabrela Dupree (Freshman) showed her dedication recording her 100th career kill, just 8 games into her collegiate career. She had a stellar weekend recording 63 total kills in just four games, recording 3.94 kills per set. Dupree has the second most kills by any freshman in Division II. 
 
Last week, Sept. 12-13, the SBU Bearcats hosted an invitational for high leveled competitors to come over and play. The Lady Bearcats went 1-3 for the weekend playing 16 sets and working hard every point. Although the ladies didn't have the overall win, the girls still left with their heads held high united as a team. 
 
Going into this week the Lady Bearcats will start on Thursday, September 18 at 6 pm against Harding University. They just battled against the Bisons a few days ago, where they took them to five sets falling in the last one 14-16. Now the Bearcats will look for revenge against this powerful opponent.
 
Their weekend trip will continue on Friday Sept. 19 at 9:30 and 2:30 against Trevecca Nazarene and University of Arkansas Fort-Smith.  With a team they've already seen and two teams they haven't battled with this season, the girls are looking to bring home a big victory this weekend.
