Springfield, Mo. — The Southwest Baptist Men's Cross Country Team put together a superb effort this morning, winning the team title at the Queen City Invitational in Springfield, Missouri. The Bearcats scored a total of 39 points, leading them to victory in the 8K race.

Leading the way for SBU were last name sharers, Landon and Gavin Duchscherer, who both finished inside the top 10. Landon crossed the line at 25:50 to take sixth overall, while Gavin followed closely, finishing at 25:56 for eighth overall.
Junior Nolan Hansen added another strong performance for the Bearcats, clocking a 26:14 to place 12th overall. Senior Luke Urban (26:39) rounded out the first four, finishing in the top 20 to secure the team win.

Freshman Landon Jones (27:30) and junior Luther Supancic (28:06) provided depth for the Bearcats with Jones making his top 20 debut. Behind them, Jack Leeds (28:18), Robert Humphries (28:30), and Logan Blase (29:01) all contributed solid races to keep SBU's pack strong.

Overall, the Bearcats showcased both front-running talent and strong team depth with five runners placing in the top 20 and the team setting the tone for the rest of the season.

SBU will look to carry this momentum into their next meet on Saturday, September 27th at the Lucian Rosa Invitational in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
