Indianapolis, Ind. – SBU Athletics caps off GLVC Academic Award week with a record 34 student-athletes earning Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award. The recipients for this award each have exhausted his or her eligibility in intercollegiate sport and maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average throughout their career.
 
As well there were five Bearcats who concluded their collegiate career with a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA. Three of those came from the sport of women's soccer, tied for the most by any program within the GLVC. Abby Harrison, Julia Johnson, and Kendal Weiskopf played on the pitch together for four years and all went out together earning this award. Joining them was Emma Vincent from the softball team completing her time at SBU with a degree in Biology Education. On the men's side was Brayden Housh as a member of the track and field team earning a perfect 4.0.
