Indianapolis, Ind. – Southwest Baptist University Athletics had a school record 11 teams earn GLVC Academic Awards for the 2024-25 season, as announced by conference office Monday afternoon. This award recognizes the teams that have maintained a 3.30 grade point average for the academic year.
 
The Bearcat women's tennis team recorded not only an SBU best but also conference best with a 3.90 GPA for the year. Just behind them was the SBU softball team at 3.83. Following those include women's cross country (3.67), Women's Volleyball (3.67), Women's Track and Field (3.55), Women's Basketball (3.54), Women's Soccer (3.51), Men's Cross Country (3.40), Men's Tennis (3.38), Men's Track & Field (3.32), Men's Soccer (3.30).
