Men's 4x100 Relay Claims Gold at GLVC Championship

Romeoville, Il. – The men's track and field team finished up the GLVC Outdoor Championships placing fifth with a total of 71 points.

The headline of the day was SBU's 4x100 meter relay team taking gold with a time of 41.27 seconds. The team consisted of graduate student Parker Love, freshman Dalvin Adams, freshman Reid Harrison, and sophomore Chase Thomas-Plummer. Their performance was one for the record books as they set the second-best time in school history.

Later, freshman Marcus Jones hit a national mark in the 400-meter dash taking 4th place. He ran a time of 47.56 seconds, which was a personal best for him and the third-best 400-meter dash time in SBU's history.
Other strong performances earning the Bearcats points in the final standings included freshman Shadrach Thompson's 4th place finish in javelin, junior Devon McMillin's 4th place finish in the 800-meter run, and Adams' 5th place finish in the 200-meter dash.

The GLVC Championships have concluded the Men's Track and Field 2025 season. However, Parker Love might get a shot at competing at the NCAA Championships May 22nd through 24th.
