Romeoville, Il. – The men's track and field team finished up the GLVC Outdoor Championships placing fifth with a total of 71 points.
The headline of the day was SBU's 4x100 meter relay team taking gold with a time of 41.27 seconds. The team consisted of graduate student
Parker Love, freshman
Dalvin Adams, freshman
Reid Harrison, and sophomore
Chase Thomas-Plummer. Their performance was one for the record books as they set the second-best time in school history.
Later, freshman
Marcus Jones hit a national mark in the 400-meter dash taking 4th place. He ran a time of 47.56 seconds, which was a personal best for him and the third-best 400-meter dash time in SBU's history.
Other strong performances earning the Bearcats points in the final standings included freshman
Shadrach Thompson's 4
th place finish in javelin, junior
Devon McMillin's 4
th place finish in the 800-meter run, and
Adams' 5
th place finish in the 200-meter dash.
The GLVC Championships have concluded the Men's Track and Field 2025 season. However,
Parker Love might get a shot at competing at the NCAA Championships May 22
nd through 24
th.
