Pueblo, Colo. – The SBU track and field team concluded their 2025 National Championships Saturday. The Bearcat women finished with three top-four finishes to finish with 25 points overall for 11th place.

The day was captivated by senior Collinique Farrington winning the 400-Meter National Championship. She dominated the race with a time of 51.63 seconds nearly .6 seconds better than the 2nd place finisher. This is Farrington's first ever National Title and SBU's first since 2017. The experience continued to be incredible as she was handed the trophy by her sprint coach Sterlen Paul on the podium.

Nearly an hour later Farrington captured her 5th All-American award taking 2nd place in the 200-meter dash. Her time of 22.83 seconds gives her another 2nd place finish after the same thing in the indoor National Championships. She also contributed three points in the 4x400-Meter really for 21 total points on the day.

Earlier in the day two Savannah Manthey and Alexis O'farrell were the first Bearcats to compete in the javelin throw. Manthey highlighted it finishing in 5th place with a mark of 48.57 meters earning the Bearcats four points. She earned her first ever All-American award as just a sophomore. O'farrell also had a strong finish in 16th place with a mark of 42.53.

In the final event of the day, the 4x400-meter relay comprised of Farrington, Stephanique Dean, Laura Dixon, and Brianna Lord battled for another National Title. After holding the lead for nearly half of the race, the Bearcats finished in sixth place less than two seconds behind the first-place finisher. Their time of 3:34.42 was also a school record and earned SBU another three points to their total.
