Box Score Kansas City, MO.- The SBU Women's Tennis team dropped their match on Friday to the Rockhurst Hawks 1-6. This puts them to be 9-7 (2-2 GLVC) for the season.

To start off the match the Bearcats struggled to get any traction in doubles dropping the point. Paula
Ballesteros and
Defne Ursane for the #1 team fell in a tough match 1-6. Then the #2 team with
Leticia Luiz and
Polina Paunova also struggled in their game dropping it 2-6. Lastly,
Maria Clara Zotti and
Giselle Garcia fell 1-6 in their match.

To kick off the single matchups
Ballesteros in the #1 spot earned the first point for SBU winning in two sets (6-1, 7-6). However, the Hawks answered back by winning the rest of the singles games. Ursane in the #2 spot dropped her match in two sets (2-6, 4-6). Then in the #3 spot, Paunova lost her match with a very close first set, not being able to come back in the second (4-6, 0-6). Luiz in the #4 spot also fell in a tough two set match (2-6, 4-6). In the #5 spot Garcia struggled as she dropped her match in two sets (1-6, 2-6). Then the Hawks earned the last point with a win in the #6 spot over Clara Zotti (4-6, 3-6).

The Bearcats will stay on the road and travel to Liberty, MO. to play the William Jewell Cardinals for their last conference match of the season. They will play on Saturday, April 26 at 11:00 am.
