Box Score Kansas City, Mo. – The SBU men's tennis team fell to the Rockhurst Hawks Friday afternoon 2-5 moving them to 8-9 (1-2 GLVC) on the season.
 
Despite a tough battle in the doubles matchup, the point went the way of the Hawks. At the #1 spot, Marcio Silva and Juan Morresi took their match with a 6-4. At the #2 spot, Alejandro Beneyto Sanchez and Bojan Radoman lost a close battle 6-7 (2-7). The third spot went a little more the way of the Hawks, but still close as Alejandro Bravo and Federico Riolo weren't able to match the Hawks (4-6).
 
The singles matches continud to extend the lead for the Hawks picking up four of the six singles matches. That started at the #1 spot as the match went to three sets with Marcio Silva falling in the third 4-6. The next two matches also went to three sets as Beneyto Sanchez fell at the #2 spot (3-6, 6-3, 6-7), but Bravo won his match taking the first and third set (6-4, 5-7, 6-3). The fourth spot also went the Bearcats way as Morressi won a tightly contested 1^st set but dominated the second (7-6, 6-0). Riolo and Alex Crawford were unable to add to the Bearcats total falling in the 5^th & 6^th spot.
 
The Bearcats will end their regular season Saturday, April 26^th as they travel to Liberty, Missouri to take on William Jewell. The game will take place at 11:00am.
