Box Score Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU women's tennis team honored their four seniors with a 7-0 sweep over Quincy Hawks Monday afternoon. The Bearcats move to 9-6 (2-1 GLVC) on the season.
 
It was a swift and easy doubles point win for the Bearcats as the Hawks only won two points. At the #1 spot, Paula Ballesteros and Defne Ursan, and #2 spot, Leticia Luiz and Polina Paunova, each won their matches 6-1. It was the #3 spot of Maria Clara Zotti and Giselle Garcia that had a perfect 6-0 victory.
 
Singles went nearly exactly the same way as the #1, #5, and #6 spot only allowed their opponents to win two total points. Ballesteros at the one spot won both sets 6-1, Garcia and Clara Zotti each a perfect 6-0 sets at the #5 and #6 spots. The #2 spot was the closest match of them all as Ursan split the first two sets, each 6-2, but swiftly won the third set (6-0). Paunova at the #3 spot took care of business in the first set, but had tougher competition in the second narrowly winning (7-6.) Luiz also took down her opponent in two sets at the #4 spot (6-1, 6-4).
 
The Bearcats will return to action this coming Friday, April 25^th, at Rockhurst University. The game will take place at 11:00am in Kansas City, Missouri.
