4/18/2025 8:38:00 AM

Pittsburg, Kan. – The SBU women's track and field team competed at the PSU Tune-Up Thursday afternoon.

Coming off her GLVC Athlete of the Week award, Savannah Manthey continued to remain strong by taking first place in the Javelin throw. She beat out 23 other competitors hitting a provisional mark of 45.07 meters, though it does not best her record-breaking throw from the week prior.

The ladies 4x400-meter relay also had a first-place finish with a time of 4:14.53. This team consisted of Reagan Thomure, Sierra Wallace, Jaynae Pinder, and Audrey Oliver.

Another pair of Bearcats that had a strong outing was the freshman-senior duo of Natalie Gerdes and Olivia Littleton. Finishing only .5 seconds apart from each other they took 2nd and 3rd place in the race respectively.

Other Bearcats will compete Friday afternoon at two different meets between the Bryan Clay Invite and KU Relays. The Bearcats that competed Thursday will take some time off before the GLVC Championships May 1st-3rd.
