Box Score Bolivar, MO.- The SBU Women's Tennis Team won their match Friday against the Truman State University Bulldogs 4-1. This puts them at 8-6 (1-1 GLVC) for the season.
 
The Bearcats started off the match with a sweep for the doubles point. Seniors Leticia Luiz and Polina Paunova won their match 6-4. Then the #2 and #3 teams both easily defeated their opponents in 6-2 wins. The #2 team was Maria Clara Zotti and Giselle Garcia and the #3 team was Defne Ursane and Ally Bowser.
 
After the successful doubles matches, SBU continued to dominate in the singles. Paunova in the #2 spot kicked off the singles games with an easy two set win (7-6, 6-1). Then Garcia also defeated her opponent with ease (6-0, 6-1). Lastly, Clara Zotti secured the clinch for the Bearcats with another two set win (6-1, 6-2).
 
The Bearcats will stay in Bolivar for their next match on Monday, April 21 at 11:00 am against the Quincy University Hawks. SBU will be celebrating Senior Day before the match as it will be the Bearcats last time playing at the John A. Bryant Tennis Center this season.
