Pittsburg, Kan. – The SBU men's track and field team competed at the PSU Tune-Up Thursday afternoon.
The Bearcats dominated the 3,000-meter steeplechase with three controlling the top four spots.
Nathan Keck won the race with a time just eclipsing 10 minutes. Just behind him in second was
Landon Duchscherer and
Robert Humphries in 4
th place.
Distance continued to excel in the 5000 meter run when
Trevor Maxville defeated his 12 competitors for a 1
st place finish with a time of 15:42.31. The 1500-meter run had Bearcats at the top as
Jackson Leeds took 2
nd along with
Devon McMillin finishing on the podium at 3
rd place in the 800-meter run.
In the 4x400-meter relay, the Bearcats "B" team also took a 1
st place finish running a time of 3:30.59. This team comprised of
Chase Thomas-Plummer,
Kaleb Nail,
Trea Melton, and
Devon McMillin.
Other Bearcats will compete Friday afternoon at two different meets between the Bryan Clay Invite and KU Relays. The Bearcats that competed Thursday will take some time off before the GLVC Championships May 1
