Fulton, MO.- The SBU Women's Tennis team played against William Woods University, ranked #31 in NAIA, Thursday afternoon. After the Owls secured the doubles point, the match was canceled due to the rain.
 
Paula Ballesteros and Defne Ursane for the #1 team fell close in their match (4-6). Then Seniors Leticia Luiz and Polina Paunova played for extra points in their match, but ultimately fell as the #2 team (5-7). Maria Clara Zotti and Giselle Garcia competed as the #3 team, however as they were battling in a tiebreak, their match remained unfinished since the Owls clinched the doubles point (6-6). The singles matches had barely finished the first sets before the game was called.
 
The Bearcats will jump back into conference play on Saturday, April 12 in Springfield, MO. against the Drury University Panthers at 12:00 am at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
