Ozark, MO.- The SBU Beach Volleyball team went 1-1 on Saturday. The Bearcats beat Oklahoma Wesleyan (5-0) and fell to Park University (1-4). This makes them 8-10 for the season.

Game 1: Oklahoma Wesleyan (W- 5-0)
The Bearcats continued their winning streak against Oklahoma Wesleyan with their third sweep of the season over them. SBU started off strong with
Carlee Lill and Lexi Schauffler dominating their opponents as the #1 team in two sets (21-11, 21-15).
Chandler Lawrence and
Reagan Hoerning continued dominating over the Eagles with another two-set win (21-9, 22-20). Then the #3 team,
Ryan Russell and
Addi Fanning, overpowered their opponents contributing to another win for the Bearcats (21-16, 21-16).
Kynzie Lilly and
Rory Stanley as the #4 team started off super strong in the first set. However the Eagles came back in the second, forcing a third set that the Bearcats ended up winning closely (21-6, 14-21, 17-15). To secure the sweep, SBU's #5 team with
Madison Satterly and
Logan Drennan easily overpowered their opponents in a quick two sets (21-4, 21-8).

Game 2: Park University (L- 1-4)
The Bearcats had to battle a little harder for their second game of the day against the Pirates. Lill and Schauffler as the #1 team earned the only win against Park in a very tight first set going into extra points (28-26, 21-18). Lawrence and Hoerning fell in a tough two sets to their opponents as the #2 team (17-21, 7-21). SBU's #3 team with Russell and Fanning played two tight sets but couldn't pull through (12-21, 17-21). Lilly and Stanley also fell in a tough two set matchup (10-21, 15-21). Despite their best efforts the #5 team for the Bearcats, Satterly and Drennan, couldn't pull out the first set win as they went into extra points, then fell in the second set as well (20-22, 10-21).

The Bearcats will play their last regular season matches on Saturday, April 5 in Ozark, MO. They will play Missouri State University at 10:00 am and Park University at 3:00 pm. The Bearcats need to secure one more win to make program history for the most games won in a single season.
