Ozark, MO.- The SBU Beach Volleyball team won both of their games on Friday. The Bearcats defeated Park University (3-2) and swept Oklahoma Wesleyan (5-0). This puts them to be 7-9 for the season.
 
Game 1: Park University (W, 3-2)
To start it off for SBU Carlee Lill and Lexi Schauffler for the #1 team won in a close three set match (16-21, 21-19, 15-11).  However, Park came back in the second match defeating the #2 team with Chandler Lawrence and Reagan Hoerning (14-21, 12-21). Ryan Russell and Addi Fanning helped the bearcats gain another win as the #3 team (21-16, 21-19). Again, Park bounced back strong winning against SBU's #4 team, Kynzie Lilly and Rory Stanley, defeating them in two sets (14-21, 13-21). The Bearcats broke the tie with the last win with the #5 team, Madison Satterly and Logan Drennan winning in two sets (21-12, 21-13).
 
Game 2: Oklahoma Wesleyan (W, 5-0)
The Bearcats were even more dominant in the second game of the not only sweeping the Eagles, but not losing a single set. In the #1 spot, Lill & Schauffler easily handled their opponents in the first set (21-15) and even more in set two (21-8). Lawrence and Hoerning at the #2 spot also won with ease at 21-14, 21-10. The Eagles only scored 16 total points at the #3 spot as Russell and Fanning controlled the match (21-4, 21-12). Lilly and Stanley had the toughest battle of the match but still won handedly (21-15, 21-17). Satterly and Drennan concluded the match with clone sets at 21-12 each in the #5 spot.
 
The Bearcats will conclude their weekend on Saturday March 29^th to battle both Oklahoma Wesleyan and Park University once again.
