Indianapolis, Ind. - The Bearcats' Men's Track and Field Team concluded proceedings at the GLVC Championships taking 5
th place equaling their finish from a year ago. The Bearcats also won the overall team sportsmanship award.Â
Sophomore
Jayce Farrell set a personal best in the shot-put event, throwing the shot a distance of 15.27 meters. This distance earned him a 3
rd place finish, his first podium result in college.
Sophomore
Andrew Rhoades finished first place in the 1000-meter run event of the heptathlon. This win was enough for Rhoades to place 3
rd overall in the heptathlon with a score of 4547. Rhoades
' overall heptathlon performance earned him 3
rd place all time in the best heptathlon performances in SBU history.
Now a few members of the team will await the qualifiers for the indoor National Championship to take place in two weeks.
