Lincoln, NE.- The SBU Women's Beach Volleyball team fell to the University of Nebraska Huskers 0-5 Monday afternoon. This puts them to be 5-9 for the season.

Despite the loss, the Bearcats battled against the Division I nationally recognized Huskers in some close sets.
Chandler Lawrence and
Reagan Hoerning were the #1 team for SBU and fell in two tough sets (5-21, 10-21). The #2 team,
Lexie Schauffler and
Carlee Lill, almost took the first set away for the win but fell very close in extra points (20-22, 13-21).
Ryan Russell and
Addi Fanning competed for the #3 team and also fell in two sets (11-21, 10-21). The #4 team for SBU,
Logan Drennan and
Madison Satterly, also came very close to taking the first set only falling behind by two points (19-21, 10-21). Lastly,
Dylan Cochran and
Briley Bagley for SBU's #5 team lost in a two set match (14-21, 8-21).

The Bearcats will be off for over two weeks, but will be back in action on Friday, March 28 in Ozark, MO. SBU will play Park University at 10:00 am and Oklahoma Wesleyan at 3:00 pm.
