Ozark, MO,- The SBU Women's Beach Volleyball team lost both games today against Division I programs of Missouri State University (0-5) and the University of Central Arkansas (0-5). This puts them to be 2-5 for the season.

Game 1: Missouri State University (L- 0-5)
The Bearcats faced very tough matches for their first game of the day against Missouri State. Lexi Schauffler and
Chandler Lawrence fell to their opponents as the #1 team (12-21, 15-21). Then the #2 team,
Reagan Hoerning and
Addi Fanning, lost in two sets (4-21, 15-21). SBU's #3 team, with
Ryan Russell and
Carlee Lill, lost with a close second set (13-21, 18-21). The #4 team for the Bearcats,
Logan Drennan and
Madison Satterly, had a close first set but couldn't pull through (17-21, 9-21). Lastly, SBU's #5 team also fell in a close matchup to their opponents in two sets (12-21, 4-21).

Game 2: University of Central Arkansas (L- 0-5)
The second game of the day was also a tough battle for the Bearcats against Central Arkansas. Schauffler and Lawrence played a three set thriller in a very close loss for the #1 team (18-21, 22-20, 10-15). The #2 team with Hoerning and Fanning fell in a tough two set match (14-21, 18-21). The #3 team with Russell and Lill also lost in a two set game (14-21, 15-21). Drennan and Satterly fell in there two set game as the #4 team, almost coming back in the second set (16-21, 19-21). Then the #5 team lost in two sets going in extra points in a very close second set (15-21, 21-23).

The Bearcats will stay in Ozark, MO. on Saturday, February 29. They will play Hendrix College at 12:00 pm and Lindenwood at 4:00 pm.
