Pittsburgh, KS. - The SBU women's track and field team continued their season Saturday competing at the PSU Wendy's Open.
Sprinting duo
Collinique Farrington and
Stephanique Dean once again hit the track with an impressive run. Farrington won both the 400m and 200m dash, while running a new meet record of 23.85 in the 200. This puts her at 3rd in the nation and along with
Stephanique Dean who finished second with a time of 24.40 putting her 16th in the country.
Multiple great finishes by the bearcats include Kiersten Porter winning the 5k and smashing her old personal record, breaking the 18 minute barrier. Kaydence Wallace finishing 5th overall in the 800. The women's 400x4 took second with a team of
Stephanique Dean,
Laura Dixon,
Sierra Wallace,
Emily Young.
Next week Saturday the bearcats will travel to Northwest Missouri State for the Bearcat Invite.
