Pittsburg, KS. – The SBU men's track and field team returned to action Saturday at the PSU Wendy's Open.
Senior
Parker Love highlighted the day for the Bearcats taking 5
th place in the 200-meter dash. He had a time of 21.74 seconds, which was only .11 seconds away from a National qualifying mark. He already holds the SBU record in the 200, but this time would be good for 4
th best in SBU history.
In the same event as Love, freshman
Marcus Jones took 10
th place with a time of 22.04. That time is his best while at SBU and is 8
th all-time at SBU. Another top run for Southwest Baptist was senior
Trevor Maxville who took 8
th out of 28 people in the 5k.
The team will travel to Northwest Missouri State next Saturday for the Bearcat Invite.
