Bolivar, Mo. – After a six-year hiatus, Southwest Baptist Athletics is excited to announce the restart of the SBU men's golf program, making an exciting new chapter for student-athletes.
 
The revitalized program reflects the school's commitment to expanding competitive opportunities and promoting lifelong sports. Beginning in Fall 2026, the golf team will compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The team will practice at Silo Ridge Golf Course just on the outskirts of Bolivar, Missouri.
 
"We are very excited to re-launch our Men's Golf Program.  We feel like this is a great time for SBU to add the program." Director of Athletics, Clark Sheehy said, "We are so blessed to have such a great golf course in Bolivar with Silo Ridge Country Club, which has hosted multiple college events in the past few years, so it makes a lot of sense!  We know that the GLVC has a strong tradition in Men's Golf and we are excited to compete starting this fall!"
