11/8/2025 6:53:00 PM

Kenosha, Wisc. – The SBU women's cross-country team concluded their 2025 campaign Saturday at the Midwest Regional Championships. Entering the Championships the team came in as the 10th best team in the region but finished this Championship in 7th place with 225 points.

Leading the way was the GLVC freshman of the year Gracie Troester who finished in 29th place. In just her first season competing at NCAA Regionals, she narrowly missed out on an All-Region award given to the top 25. Behind Troester was senior Olivia Littleton finishing out her cross-country career in 33rd place, three spots higher than her finish last season.

Not far behind the Senior was sophomore Kiersten Potter who took 39th place also finishing three spots higher than her finish last year. The reigning GLVC freshman of the year, Natalie Gerdes was the fourth Bearcat to score taking 44th place. Finishing out the scoring was junior Lily Hunsucker taking 80th place to help lead Southwest Baptist to 7th place.

That will conclude the cross-country season for SBU, though these runners are not done with the school year. They all will begin the track season in just under a month's time as the race at the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic on December 6th.
