Kenosha, Wisc. – The SBU women's cross-country team concluded their 2025 campaign Saturday at the Midwest Regional Championships. Entering the Championships the team came in as the 10
th best team in the region but finished this Championship in 7
th place with 225 points.
Leading the way was the GLVC freshman of the year
Gracie Troester who finished in 29
th place. In just her first season competing at NCAA Regionals, she narrowly missed out on an All-Region award given to the top 25. Behind Troester was senior
Olivia Littleton finishing out her cross-country career in 33
rd place, three spots higher than her finish last season.
Not far behind the Senior was sophomore
Kiersten Potter who took 39
th place also finishing three spots higher than her finish last year. The reigning GLVC freshman of the year,
Natalie Gerdes was the fourth Bearcat to score taking 44
th place. Finishing out the scoring was junior
Lily Hunsucker taking 80
th place to help lead Southwest Baptist to 7th place.
That will conclude the cross-country season for SBU, though these runners are not done with the school year. They all will begin the track season in just under a month's time as the race at the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic on December 6
th.
