Bolivar, Mo. — Celebrating victories and improved times from last weekend's double dual, SBU Swimming prepares to showcase the results of their hard work at the Drury Invite this Friday and Saturday.

Last weekend, SBU swimming traveled to Saint Louis, Mo., competing against Saint Louis University, a Division I school, and Rockhurst University. Both the men's and women's teams realized personal goals and milestones.

On the men's side, sophomore Ian McCorkle earned the first event win of his SBU career in the 200 Yard Freestyle. Six of SBU's female swimmers dropped time in their events and set personal bests for the season or their lifetime. Kamryn Cooper dropped the most time as she shaved 3.57 seconds off her record for the 200 Yard Freestyle.

Overall, SBU Swimming reported 23 lifetime best times at the Saint Louis meet. The Bearcats' improved times showcase their incredible hard work and dedication during this inaugural season.

The Bearcats look forward to celebrating more best times and event wins in the upcoming weeks. SBU swimming will travel to Springfield, Mo. this weekend to compete in the Drury Invite on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8.
