Bolivar, Mo. — Last weekend, Southwest Baptist University's women's volleyball team traveled to Kirksville, Mo. to play Truman State University and Fayette, Iowa to compete against Upper Iowa University.
SBU fell in both games to tough competition from the Truman Bulldogs and Upper Iowa Peacocks. Despite their defeat, the Bearcats displayed athleticism as
Gabriela Dupree (#7),
Hannah Jackson (#6), and
Aubrie Fellmeth (#8) led their team in kills during Saturday's match. Freshman
Chloe Chafins (#4) took the lead in the GLVC for her season record in aces.
Putting their losses behind them, the Lady Bearcats gear up to face Missouri S&T on Friday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m in the Meyer Sports Center. Missouri S&T is currently in 11th place in the GLVC with a conference record of 3-6 (8-15 overall). The Miners will come in with momentum as they are on a three game win streak.
SBU plays their last home game of the season against Maryville University on Saturday, November 8 at 3:00 p.m. Maryville sits at sixth place in the GLVC with a conference record of 5-4 and faces SBU following a loss to Rockhurst University last weekend.
Come out Friday and Saturday to support the Bearcats in their last two home games of the season. They will also honor their two seniors on Saturday
