Jefferson City, Mo. – The SBU women's basketball team began conference action Saturday afternoon at Lincoln University. After 40 minutes, the game ended in favor of the Blue Tigers 54-59, as SBU moves to 2-4 (0-1 GLVC) on the season.
Bearcats held the lead for a majority of the game including as much as 11 points in the second quarter and third quarter. The Blue Tigers kept battling keeping the game within reach until a 10-0 run in the final minute of the game pushed Lincoln to the victory.

Kamiyah Hurd led the team in scoring with 16 points, shooting 50% from the field. She recorded her second straight double-double bringing down 11 rebounds. Tying her in rebounding was sophomore
Nahia Esnaola Agaen with nine offensive boards helping lead to eight second chance points. As a team, they out boarded with Blue Tigers 49-38.
Southwest Baptist will now return home to host their rival Drury University in the Highway-13 catfight. This game will take place on Monday, December 1
st at 5:30 p.m. in the Meyer Center.
